FAQ
What size should a Twitter Card image be?
For summary_large_image, Twitter recommends 1200×630 (a 1.91:1 ratio), max 5MB. ogimagex exports at exactly this size by default.
How do I make Twitter show the large card?
Add to your page <head>: <meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image" /> and <meta name="twitter:image" content="https://..." />. Paste the URL in a tweet and the big card appears.
I updated the image but Twitter still shows the old one — why?
Twitter caches cards aggressively. Open cards-dev.twitter.com/validator, paste your URL and click "Preview Card" to force a refresh.
Does this work for X (formerly Twitter)?
Yes. X kept the same Twitter Card meta tags, so summary_large_image still works exactly the same way.
Is there a watermark or usage limit?
No. Free forever, no watermark, no caps, commercial use allowed.
